Our Mission

....................

Amana is an educational movement towards empowering parents and educators with safeguarding strategies and resources to prevent abuse, foster strong mental health, and ultimately promote safety in children and vulnerable adults with varying abilities.

Our mission is to prevent abuse before it happens by empowering parents, educators, and professionals with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to recognize, respond to, and reduce risks—for all children and vulnerable abuts, including those with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities.

We believe that every child and vulnerable adult has the right to feel safe, valued, and protected, and that safeguarding is a shared responsibility.

Our Key Objectives: Educate. Empower. Advocate.

Raise Awareness

................

Promote open conversations around child safety, abuse prevention, and the importance of early intervention—especially in the Arab world.

Empower Parents and Professionals

................

Provide culturally sensitive training, resources, and support to equip adults with practical strategies to identify red flags and respond effectively.

Advocate for Policy Change

................

Collaborate with schools, clinics, and government bodies to influence policies and practices that prioritize safeguarding in educational and therapeutic settings.

Support Vulnerable Groups

................

Ensure that safeguarding strategies are inclusive and accessible to children with special needs, who face higher risks of abuse.

Create Tools for Prevention

................

Develop practical toolkits, checklists, webinars, courses, and conversation-starters that help families and professionals proactively create safer environments.

Build a Community Movement

................

Cultivate a growing network of advocates, educators, caregivers, and policy influencers united by a shared commitment to child protection.

Salam, I’m Asmahan

....................

I’m a licensed child psychologist, assistant professor, and Behavior Analyst—but at my core, I’m someone deeply passionate about keeping kids safe and helping families navigate life’s tricky conversations.

I’m also a firm believer that all children need strong buffers—the tools and knowledge to navigate this unpredictable world with confidence. That’s why I founded Amana—a space dedicated to equipping parents, educators, and professionals with practical, no-nonsense strategies to keep kids safe while empowering them to make smart choices.
